The New Mountain Horse Wild River Boots

They’ve now just released their new wild river range, which consists of paddock boots and tall boots. Lets take a look at the key features.

The Wild River Tall Boots

These boots are almost a cross between country boots and riding boots – so they’re perfect if you need some boots that are robust enough that you can do your yard chores in them and then go riding. The thicker sole and PU shock absorbing midsole also offers you protection against harder or rocky ground, making them comfortable to walk in when you’re heading down to the field or even taking your dog out! The other key feature about these boots is that they’re designed with a waterproof construction and gusset technology to help keep you dry in the rainy weather. The built-in elastic on the shaft makes for a comfortable yet snug fitting boot, while the integrated steel shank improves stability. The Wild River Paddock Boots

For those of you who prefer a paddock boot you’ve got two options within the wild river collection – zipped or lace up. The general features of these boots are the same though no matter what style you opt for. They both have a fully waterproof construction which is designed to withstand the typical British weather. They’ll keep your feet warm and dry if you accidentally step into a puddle on your way to get your horse in. The oily, full grain leather is also extremely robust meaning you won’t have to throw these boots away after one spring – they’re designed to last. Similar to the tall boots, they also feature thick, shock absorbing PU sole making them ideal for walking over rugged ground. If you’re after more of a riding boot/walking boot hybrid then we would recommend that you go with the lace up style, while the zip up style offer more of a traditional jodhpur boot look.
